Use of member's name unless prohibited by law, by registering as a member you grant permission to TryTrivia.com, to use your name and prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation.

As a condition to the award of any prize, you may be required to execute a consent to the use of your name and prize information, without limitation, for promotional purposes without further permission or compensation unless prohibited by law.

Fair Play of TryTrivia.com

  1. Your play of TryTrivia.com games is a privilege, not a right.
  2. You may be disqualified from play and terminated as a member if you engage in any conduct TryTrivia.com deems improper, illegal, unfair, cheating or otherwise adverse to the fair operation of TryTrivia.com.
  3. The use of any methods involving ingenuity, machines, computers, software, scripts or any other system automate play or by-pass the structure of the game of TryTrivia.com is strictly prohibited.
  4. You may not modify any file that TryTrivia.com has not specifically authorized you, in writing, to modify.
  5. You may use only one type, version or copy of browsing software at any one time.
  6. You may not falsify any information required during registration or when claiming a prize.
  7. You may not intentionally, willfully or with reckless disregard try to defraud or otherwise tamper with the computer programs comprising TryTrivia.com.
  8. You may not violate any applicable local, state, national law or regulation
  9. TryTrivia.com may void any prizes that a member has earned and/or require the return of any prizes that a member has won as a result of such improper conduct.
  10. The forfeiture of and/or return of prizes shall in no way preclude TryTrivia.com from pursuing all other legal remedies such as criminal and/or civil proceedings in connection with such conduct.
  11. If you are suspected of engaging in any such improper conduct, you will receive a message advising you of TryTrivia.com's decision to immediately terminate your membership and revoke your User ID (Termination).
  12. All decisions by TryTrivia.com are in its sole and absolute discretion and are final and non-appealable.
  13. A Termination is a permanent and total disqualification from any and all existing and future TryTrivia.com games.
  14. If TryTrivia.com determines, in its sole and absolute discretion, that you have engaged in improper conduct, it has no obligation to award you any prizes won by you, and may choose an alternate winner.




Eligiblity/Limitations on Use

TryTrivia.com is open to all legal residents of the United States, who are eighteen years of age or older. Persons residing outside of the United States, TryTrivia.com, officers, directors, agents, representatives, consultants, affiliates and subsidiaries, advertisers, and members of their immediate families may use the TryTrivia.com web site, but are not eligible to win prizes.

TryTrivia.com reserves the right to terminate or prevent access of users in such jurisdictions. To be eligible to win cash prizes, the contestant must have:
  1. Truthfully completed his/her Try Trivia member profile information
  2. Registered with a valid e-mail address
  3. Abided by the rules set forth by TryTrivia.com
  4. Have only one User ID.
  5. Only one User ID per household.
Should TryTrivia.com determine, in its sole discretion, that any member has violated any of the prohibitions contained in the Official Rules, TryTrivia.com shall have no obligation to award any prizes to such members, as well as have the right to terminate such member's future participation, permanently.



Registration

All registrations become the sole property of TryTrivia.com and we reserve the right to use all registration information in accordance with the TryTrivia.com Privacy Policy
  1. In order to register, you must complete all the information on the registration form and this information must truthfully represent you.
  2. You must provide a valid E-mail address.
  3. You must select a unique User ID and associated password.
  4. You are only allowed one User Id.
  5. Should TryTrivia.com determine that a member is using multiple User IDs, that member will be automatically disqualified from all cash prizes awarded.
  6. A member is allowed full access to their member profile account and may change his/her details at any time. It is the responsibility of the member to keep his/her profile information accurate and up to date.
  7. TryTrivia.com is not responsible for any incorrect information (including wrong mailing addresses) provided by the member. No P.O. boxes are allowed and will result in disqualification of cash prizes.
  8. All registrants must be eighteen years old or older to play.
  9. A valid and true date of birth must be submitted at time of registration and will be validated prior to awarding any cash prizes.




Reporting Policy

TryTrivia.com may be required to file certain information with various governmental agencies with respect to prizes exceeding certain amounts, and in such cases, a member that wins any such prizes must complete any written materials that may be required by any such government agencies and will be requested to do so by TryTrivia.com.

Failure of a registered member to comply with TryTrivia.com's request will result in the member's forfeiture of such prize.

Winners are solely responsible for all federal, state, local and other applicable taxes with respect to the prizes awarded by TryTrivia.



Machine Play

The use of machines, computers, software, scripts or any other automated system to play TryTrivia.com is strictly prohibited. Users are similarly restricted from playing TryTrivia.com with more than one type, version or copy of a browsing software application at any one time. Users suspected of engaging in any activity of this sort will result in TryTrivia.com's decision to revoke the member's User ID, effective immediately. This revocation will result in a member's total and permanent disqualification from current and future trivia shootout games.



Prizes & Prize Winners

  1. In case of a tie (2 or more players with the same time), the prize money will be equally divided among those players.
  2. TryTrivia.com reserves the right to verify the eligibility of all winners prior to making payment to them of any kind. TryTrivia.com also reserves the right to refuse payment to any persons who are deemed not eligible as described in these official rules.
  3. Persons residing outside of the United States, and employees, affiliates, advertisers, and their immediate families, may use the TryTrivia.com web site but are not eligible to win prizes.
  4. Players may compete in all games all day, but can win only one time per day. They will be paid the largest prize won on any single day.
  5. In all hot streak games, the player who answers the most consecutive questions correctly in the least amount of total time wins.
  6. In Fast 5, the player must complete at least 5 games in a single day (12:00 AM through 11:45 PM (ET) to win. Only complete games with six correct answers qualify toward the players scores.
  7. Taxes are the sole responsibility of prize winners.
  8. Players can request their prize winnings at any time. Winners are paid by PayPal. Players requesting funds using PayPal will receive the full amount of their winnings. You can request a payment of prizes once every 60 days, payments can take 30-45 days. To request payment, click on the "My Account" link.

    2. Sign up for a PayPal account or just log in to see the money added to your PayPal balance.
    3. You can transfer the funds to a checking account, request a check, or send the funds to someone else.

CAUTION: Any attempt by a player or member to deliberately damage the TryTrivia.com web site, its games or any materials, or undermine the legitimate operation of the promotion is a violation of criminal and civil laws and should such an attempt be made, TryTrivia.com and/or any of its sponsors reserve the right to seek damages from any such player or member to the fullest extent permitted by law.
